Students from outside the EEA can benefit from a 25-week academic year programme. The programme consists of morning or afternoon General English classes of 15 or 20 hours per week.
It allows the students to stay in Ireland for 8 months with the right to work 20 hours per week while studying and full-time during the months of June, July, August and September and from 15 December to 15 January.

Students can extend their stay in Ireland up to two times so they can remain in the country for 2 years in total. (i.e. 3 x 8 months).
Please note that depending on your country of origin you might be required to apply for a visa before coming to Ireland. In case you need a visa, please allow ample time for your visa application to be considered.

As per the Department of Justice regulations, the minimum level of attendance on the course is 85%.
Academic year Non-EEA students are required to take an official exam at the end of their 25-week programme. Our students can choose to take the following exams when they finish their course:
