    Introducing Our Corporate Training Courses

Did you know that up to 1,500 million people speak English across the world? It is difficult to estimate exactly how many can communicate in English, as you know people are learning every day, but the British Council state around 750 million people are believed to speak English as a foreign language.

The popularity of English has led it to be considered a worldwide lingua franca, which basically means a language that people with different first languages can communicate in, a neutral language which unites speakers of less widely spoken languages. Over two-thirds of the world’s scientists read in English and even countries with multiple official languages (such as South Africa, which has 11!) largely teach through the English language in universities.

The English language has well and truly become global, so much so, that many professions are now expecting recruits to be able to effectively communicate in English. In order to prepare professionals for roles requiring high English language proficiency, we have introduced a series of Corporate Training courses at New College Manchester.

Our Corporate Training courses, including English for Aviation, English for Military, English for Oil and Gas, English for Executives and International Protocol are designed to improve students’ general language skills whilst also introducing them to the English terminology they are likely to use in a professional capacity.

The courses are designed to be variable in length so our students can tailor the course to their existing English language ability without having to enrol in lengthy courses you may not need.

We’re proud to introduce our new range of Corporate Training courses and hope that more professionals will be able to successfully embark on their dream career as a result. This week we’re looking into our English for Aviation Course in a little more detail to give our prospective students an idea of what they can expect on our course. Of course if you have any questions of your own that aren’t covered here, please get in touch.
